Crux is a personalized astrology app designed to make astrology more visual, approachable, and intuitive for a broader audience. Working closely with founders, we identified a gap between professional charting tools and horoscope feeds — an opportunity to create a more visual, immersive way for users to explore planetary patterns and meaning. As Design Lead, my role spanned product design, brand direction, UX planning, and UI design oversight. I helped shape the product experience from early concept through visual execution, contributing to product thinking, roadmap discussions, and the development of a distinctive sci-fi inspired visual language built around the metaphor of light emerging from darkness. This work extended into the product interface itself, including the conceptual development of the Timing Machine — Crux’s hero feature, a circular data visualization designed to help users explore planetary patterns across different life areas in real time. The app is planned for launch in 2027.
